UGG toddler boot sizing: size up or not?

Anonymous
I’m about to drop some cash on a pair of waterproof UGG boots for my 3 year old and am debating what size to order.

She is wearing mostly size 6c and starting to fit into some size 7c shoes. Does anyone know whether UGG boots run big, small, or true to size for little kids? I think a size 7c would fit her well, but am wondering if I should get a size 8c to try to get two winter wears out of them. She is on the small side and her feet don’t grow very quickly. She was able to wear size 18-24mo UGG boots the last two winters but I think the baby sizes are possibly more generous....

They run big, size down or buy their correct size and one size smaller to check for fit. Return one.

They run big especially because the fur flattens with time, making more room.

I got them big because I thought they were a pita to get on otherwise

Thanks from OP. I’m going to go with the size 7, since she is starting to grow into that size now. Thank you!
