If your child is a white kid, either legacy or recruited athlete.

did your kid discover a planet? A cure for Alzheimer's? Those would be good hooks. Legacy and gifted athletes are also hooks. Child of a donor who gave a $60M building would be a good hook.

Most kids are "un-hooked" It's OK. They will get in somewhere suitable and be happy.
