What are you buying for fall?

The weather is turning cool, what looks are in this season?!

Probably nothing. I bought some new shoes during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. But I’m still working from home so I don’t think I need new clothes for dog walks or school drop offs.

Don't know about what "looks" are in. I bought a couple sweatshirts on sale at J.Crew, am eyeing a few Vince sweaters on the RealReal. Would love a new pair of boots, though I got a cute pair of Sorel winter/hiking boots last year that were sooooo cozy and I can't wait until it's cold enough to wear them again. So I might skip boots this year even though I had to retire three pairs over the last few years (all around 10 years old and resoled at least once, but just couldn't make it any longer). As PP said, with WFH and Delta, I don't exactly have a a million places to wear them.

The last several years I've been on the hunt for a great winter coat and scarf. I'm very picky. I'll keep looking and see if anything strikes me. But I don't "need" them and will probably hunt consignment for the coat and then consign my current coat when I find something. I don't love having a ton of coats because it just clutters up the coat closet and I kind of feel like the whole point of a coat is to go with everything (thus why I am so picky).

I bought a bunch of work stuff from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale because I'm going to work a few days a week. Slim pants, blazers/jackets, and shells, mostly. I need a new pair of camel colored booties.

Oooh those chunky heeled square toe brown boots from the 90s are back and I got a pair. So freaking cute. Lots of bodysuits, I like the ones from Abercrombie. Suede Moto jacket, straight leg pants, lots and lots of neutrals

Yes, I want a pair of these boots again! Loved them the first time around. What did you end up going with?

I'm also feeling uninspired even though I've bought almost no clothes for the past 2 years and am back to working in person. My office definitely got more casual since precovid.

I bought a pair of flair jeans from Banana Republic, a black v neck blouse, and a camel colored merino wool long cardigan. I think I need to weather to fully change and be out and about a little more before I buy anything else.

Here you go: https://www.sorel.com/p/womens-sorel-explorer-ii-joan-1951631.html

I’d go up a half size if you intend to wear thicker socks with them because the lining takes up some space.

I need shoes. I'm struggling. What's a good, not outdated, non-sneaker shoe?

I already have chunky boots. Ballet flats or pointed-toe flats feel so dated.

The chunky lug-sole loafer? Clogs? (but they're not great for wet/cold weather)

I needed a bunch of stuff (new size this fall/winter) but I never really go anywhere so I bought inexpensive items in bulk. I think I got 5 or 6 pairs of jeans on sale (all under $20 from Old Navy and Loft), some long-sleeved t-shirts, some of last year's sweaters from Banana Republic. No one cares what I wear grocery shopping! I don't even have video calls.

I have been going to the office for a half day once or twice a month so I'll need a few things for work. I'll probably get black pants, camel pants, charcoal pants and 6 tops. Oh, and I need a winter coat. I got a $20 jacket from Costco for early fall lol.

I bought:
-lululemon align leggings… giving them a try
-camel colored top handle crossbody from Polene
-nude cropped camis to wear in lieu of bras (I’m petite/flat chested)
-thinking about a pair of boots… maybe Thursdays brand? Any fans? I’m thinking a Chelsea style with a bit of a heel.

I have and love the lug sole boots. If I were a loafer person I would definitely do the lug sole loafers.
