| Does anyone think the federal government will add infertility coverage in the 2022 plans? I’m debating a position in the federal government and will mostly need another round of IVF. |
| No. The few plans that did have any coverage took it away several years ago. Once things are gone, they don't come back. |
| Definitely not. Do not go to the fed gov't if you're looking for any kind of meaningful fertility coverage. I went through multiple rounds of IVF and literally nothing was covered, while my friends in the private sector had almost everything covered. I'm still pretty salty about it, tbh. |
| No |
| Ok, so are there DC employers that do cover fertility treatment? |
| Of course. A lot of people I know, including at my own small employer, have fertility coverage. It’s by no means extensive but is enough to cover a few rounds of IVF. |
| Is Aetna federal still going to have that preferred rate for IVF with SGF? I remember for frozen it was under $2k |
I was going to mention the same thing. I don't know if Aetna and SGF still have that agreement. You could probably contact SGF to find out. |
So... how does one find out about these jobs with coverage to apply to them? It's not like a lot of places advertise it, and I'd be willing to change fields for it if possible. |

A lot of universities have fertility coverage.
If you live in Maryland you can get a plan that covers infertility. |
It might be behind a paywall now, but FertilityIQ used to publish a yearly list ranking employers based on fertility coverage, across industries, and including the specific benefits provided. |
