Where do you buy D-cup bra for your teen?

Anonymous
My teen has fine motor challenges and wears pullover bras, basically. But they are a bit snug and I think they are really only supposed go up to C-cup. Where do you buy bras for your DD with a D-cup? Do they wear underwire? Padding? We haven’t been anywhere other than Target for bras, to be honest.

Thanks.

DD got bras in that size at Target. And they are cute. The brand is Auden I think.

Have her hook them in the front and then spin them around.

Sports bras? I go to Marshalls. They have a nice selection.

Other large cup bras, I order online from Soma.

Natori bras are comfy and great. Seriously, hook in front and spin it around. My mother taught me 20 plus years ago. Lesson for the ages!

Do people really put a back-close bra on any other way?

My A cup older DD used to reach around and clasp it. But she had really tiny bras with just a single hook.

Nimble fingers here. I don’t have to spin my bra around and I have 2-3 hoooks.

My 13 year old is a 36D and likes Puma sports bras we got at Costco. They give her plenty of support.

I took my almost 17 year old to real bra store where she measured 32D and was fitted for correct bras. It’s expensive but worth it to get at least one bra this way every couple years ( or after weight changes) so that she understands what correct fit looks and feels like. Then can copy the look/feel of the fit by searching for comparable size at target etc. moms should do this for themselves as well!

Athleta has D cup yoga bra tops that my teen loves. They are a little snug going on, but no hooks.

Waco all makes a nice front closing D cup bra- they might have it at Kohl’s or Macy’s. But I would probably just shop online.

Yes? I've never clasped them in the front first.

lane bryant has a TON! https://cacique.lanebryant.com/bras/styles/no-wire-bras-and-bralettes/P-11452. You can try what fits in the store. We tried bras from Nordstrom too, but they're pretty darn $$$$$$.

Herroom has many options and with free shipping and returns! Lots of styles. Front close and sleep/leisure bras might fit the bill.

I would recommend also maybe a "boob tube" type of bra, but not sure of the support for a D-cup.

p.s. It'll be 12y since I had my daughter and I still wear my nursing sleep criss-cross bra from Motherhood Maternity around the house b/c its that comfy! ha!

This will be an unpopular answer, but if her band is small Victoria's secret has some VERY comfortable easy pullover 32 Ds.
