Predicted impacts anyone? I assume that if they please Dems in NoVA, Mcauliffe will do well if he gets his paperwork sorted out and doesn’t have to run as a write-in candidate. If people in places like Fairfax are still mad at the school board, things may get tight. I don’t see how Youngkin can win unless the NoVA Dems are unified. Who is the backup for mcauliffe?
If this topic is already started elsewhere, sorry I didn’t see it. |

NoVA has one of the highest vaccination rates in the country. I don't think NoVA is breaking for Youngkin, who adamantly opposes mask requirements in schools.
People are seeing the debacle in Southern schools right now with widespread infection and quarantines. The results of "no mask mandates" are devastating. Why the hell would NoVA voters want that? |

OMG seriously. And is your kid maybe having to wear a mask when in close physical contact with other kids really important enough for a whole new thread? There are two huge threads on this race, here https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/920148.page and here https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/989583.page |
| I don't know that people care about mask mandates, but vaccine mandates for high school athletes might move some votes. |
