Does Alexandria have MLS Next for Girls?

My son's friend was telling him that she moved up to the top team when she made the red team this year. Does Alexandria really not have MLS Next for girls? To be clear, I don't particularly care about the team placement of my son's friend; I just think it would be weird to offer MLS Next to one gender only. Or is that how it works typically (I only have boys, so I don't know)?

Yes, MLS Next is a boys league.

The purpose of MLS next is to produce talent that can play in the MLS or that can get a a team compensation if the players goes to another professional league. The MLS is a mens league, so having a girls equivalent makes no sense

Obviously your new to it but MLS Next is boys only. ECNL was girls only, now they’ve gone to having boys but it started off as only girls. DA when it was around was only boys.

MLS is a men’s league. MLSNext is a boys league. ECNL is the top league for girls. If she’s a top player, she needs to leave Alexandria.

No. The purpose of mls next is to have teams for the mls academy teams to play against, that is all.

No. The purpose of mls next is to have teams for the mls academy teams to play against, that is all.


And to develop talent for the MLS academies to recruit their teams from too.
