The Other Two - a recommendation

If you like Schitt's Creek and Ted Lasso, I recommend The Other Two. It's about this family of three kids - the youngest brother sort of accidentally became a YouTube star, and the older siblings (the titular Other Two) are trying to make it in show biz.

The mother is played by Molly Shannon and she is so sweet and wholesome, and weird. They are all weird!

It's a funny, strange, ultimately good-hearted show. It started on Comedy Central and has now moved to HBO Max for season two. Watch it!

We watched it last year and now that the second season is out I am rewatching it from the beginning. I had completely forgotten how terrific the brother and sister are and we laugh out loud at so many of the random comments.

And I appreciate that the show doesn't make the famous brother and the stage mom out to be awful. It is like Schitt's Creek in that sense....all the characters have personalities and issues but they are well-meaning people just trying to make it and they all love their family members.

Warning, it's definitely R-rated.

I am clearly behind the times, since we just watched this series this month, but 100% agree with the PPs who recommended it.

Definitely rated R and not a show to watch with the kids, but it’s great - funny and incisive and oddly sweet.
