Extended day- when do we hear we got in?

Anonymous
We don’t need it on the 1st day of school but I assume at some point they’ll tell us we’re in? Or get some info?

Which school? Most did not have waitlists last time I checked

I already got my APS invoice 1-2 weeks ago, we found out we got in months ago.

This is for Cardinal, which usually does have a wait list.

Cardinal is the only school with a waitlist this year. If you got in you should have heard by now and gotten a bill for September.

Did you log into your account?

I would suggest emailing the extended day office. We got notice months ago as pp have said for our home school and invoice, and was accepted to option school only 2 weeks ago. I emailed them and the register responded next day and I had all resolved with new invoice in 2 days. However, if you are waitlisted you should see that in your account so I would try logging in first as pp suggested.

McKinley (now Cardinal) used to let everyone in and the program was quite large but they likely can’t do that anymore due to Covid. Extended day was chaotic and kind of awful at McKinley. So a smaller program is nice but sucks for people who can’t get in.

If you got waitlisted you’re best hope is 5th graders drop out over the course of the year, which does happen in a typical year. But I wouldn’t expect anything for several months.

They let in 220, so it’s not small. Just high demand. https://www.apsva.us/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Enrollment-Data-7-23-2021.jpg

No one said small. It’s smaller than it was at McKinley by quite a bit.
