Success? Age? Diagnosis (if any?)
We have 8 untested embryos. One is 1PN and very likely abnormal but was frozen regardless. We have 4 day 5 AA blasts. Wife is 30 with no known fertility issues. We used donor sperm that the clinic said was excellent. We had a 80% fertilization rate for all mature eggs. Thoughts? |
| I have three tested embryos from my first ER- 2 abnormals and 1 mosaic. My RE is not a big fan of testing and urged me agains it for my second ER. He said there are so many normals that result in loss and so many mosaics that end up fine and sees all the testing as a waste. I think with your number of embryos, you have a good chance of one sticking (isnt it like a 38% chance for each one). I have 5 from my second ER (one is 1pn like yours)- so I am hopeful one of my 5 or my mosaic sticks. Used donor sperm too. For the second ER 100% fet rate. |
| I had 5 untested embryos at age 28. I was never given a rating, but I was told they were all great quality. Dx, unexplained infertility. To date, I've done 3 transfers resulting in 2 children (one failed transfer). |
| 41. One embryo. 4AB. Untested. Transferred and currently 15 weeks all tests clear. It just takes one. |

14 eggs retrieved 10 mature 10 fertilized with icsi/testicular sperm (very rare and lucky) --> 8 day 5 blasts. Their ratings are 1s and 2s on a 1-8 scale with 1 being the best. First transferred was a live birth. 7 on ice. Your numbers look great OP. My RE said testing raises the chance from 40% to 65% per embryo but he still gives me crap every time he sees me. Overall it actually lowers your chance because the biopsy is not good for the embryo and throwing away mosaics and false positives. |
