Pre Season Games

Aug tournaments vs friendlies, what is better to get top teams ready for season start.

Both. But if I had to choose, I’d say a series of scrimmages.

August is hot; tournaments are going to have you playing games during the hotter parts of the game, while you can schedule scrimmages for the cooler morning hours.

Scrimmages seem like a better way to ease back into the rigors of the regular season, with more physical recovery time between games.

And scrimmages allow more time in between games to make adjustments, still certain skills/tactics etc.

FCBG 06 lost a ton of their best players to McLean this year. Will see how well the team shapes up this year!
