| Aug tournaments vs friendlies, what is better to get top teams ready for season start. |
| Rest |
|
Both. But if I had to choose, I’d say a series of scrimmages.
August is hot; tournaments are going to have you playing games during the hotter parts of the game, while you can schedule scrimmages for the cooler morning hours. Scrimmages seem like a better way to ease back into the rigors of the regular season, with more physical recovery time between games. And scrimmages allow more time in between games to make adjustments, still certain skills/tactics etc. |
| Older ages? u14 and up? Two friendlies per week spaced out. With refs... |
| But that doesn't pad your GotSoccer RANKING!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!! |
| Fsci friendlies or something akin to that. |
| Well, our first 06 FCV scrimmage in the books. I think we have an awesome team this year. |
| ^^^Who did you scrimmage? |
Please tell us all about it |
Well, my daughter was a real firecracker out there!! She really played tough. Lol |
Obviously Loudoun |
| FCV 06 ain't playing VDA 06, that's for sure. Coach is a champion ghoster. Probably played Loudoun or FCGB |
| FCBG 06 lost a ton of their best players to McLean this year. Will see how well the team shapes up this year! |
In English this time |
| FCV 06s scrimmaged FCV 07s. 06s won 4-1. |
