Is this county wide? This is what I’m hearing unofficially. Anyone know? |
I believe it is for high school but I think elementary typically gets teacher assignments like the Friday or Monday before school starts. It’s always right before I think because they don’t want parents having time to ask for switches at that level. |
Our MS principal has already said schedules are loading that day. I’m wondering if it’s county wide or if ES principals have the ability to withhold the info. Last year we found out really early through like BrainPop or something. It said my 4th graders teachers name. |
Oh well yeah sometimes if you’re in LCPSGO and they’re loaded into a teachers course in an app already you’ll find out that way but the official letter usually doesn’t go til a couple days before school starts for ES. |
They haven’t done official letters in years. It’s all online now through parentvue. Long gone are the days of waiting by the mailbox. |
That is obviously what I meant. Letter, notification, whatever. Lord you all are high maintenance. |
In case anyone cares, you can view your child's teacher through the "performance matters" app on LCPS go. Login in as your child, proceed through the screens to the "student portal" and then click "contact teacher." |
Good tip, thanks. Sure enough, I found who they got |
Great! Glad it worked for you. |
I’m a teacher and I finally checked Phoenix. I have rosters populated so I’m assuming kids will see today. There’s always changes between now and school starting so I don’t focus too much on who is in the roster just yet but seeing real kids and their names and faces is always fun. Makes the school year feel real. |
OP here. So glad I found the backdoor to the teacher assignments because ParentVue is a $hitshow this morning.
Why do they tell all the parents to login at once if they know they can't handle the web traffic? And after the year we've had, shouldn't it be able to handle the web traffic? Such utter incompetence. |
It’s not their incompetence than the entire site got swarmed at the same time. Servers can’t handle that capacity. It works fine now you just had to chill for like 2 hours. |
Then why were they “working to correct the problem?” It was their genius idea to hold the teacher assignments/schedules hostage to the virtual first day forms. They could easily have schools release schedules and that would eliminate the rush on parentvue. They created the “problem.” |
