Gay & Lesbian parent forum?

How about a discussion forum for all the gay & lesbian parents whom seem to frequent DCUM? I bet it would get a lot of hits from the LGBT parent community.

Its easy to create forums and I can create as many as desired, but every time I add a new one I get a bunch of complaints about there being too many forums. Do you think there is all that much interest in a Gay & Lesbian parent forum? Same sex parents have been a part of DCUM from day 1 and are completely integrated into the fabric of the community.

If there is interest, I'm happy to set up the forum. Get we get some more feedback from others?

Sure! More feedback here: I'd love a place to discuss the specific issues that LGBT parents face (second-parent adoption, special need for sensitivity when choosing schools, etc.). I think these posts certainly have other places on the DCUM forum, but would potentially get bumped down more quickly than in a dedicated forum.

As a straight parent of a gay teenager, I would also like to see a forum like this -- so I can learn more about the challenges she will face as she gets older.

If you have a suggestion for the group's description that improves upon mine, let me know. I wasn't exactly sure what to put there.
