APS middle school sports

| On the Townhall last night they indicated that middle school sports teams will be happening this year as a regular season. I have a rising seventh grader and since there were no MS sports/tryouts last year, we feel like we’re in the dark. Our middle schools website has nothing listed about tryouts, team formation, etc. Anyone who’s been on “tryout” (not no cut) teams in the past at the middle school level heard anything yet? |

| No news, but I’m delighted to hear this. I’m a parent of an APS MS student who would like to play a MS sport through school this year. |

| Tryouts were the second week of school 2 years ago for the first up sports, and the season starts the 3rd week for them. Boys and girls team seasons are not concurrent like high school so it's unclear which sports teams are first. Make sure you have a physical dated after May 1 and all the forms filled out. |

I notice for soccer there are tryouts by grade... do they have different teams? |

I don’t think so but my kid wasn’t on the team so not 100% sure. |
