soccer grip socks

DS asked me to buy him grip socks, he said the good ones cost around $40-$50.

i thought that’s ridiculous. My fellow soccer moms and dads, can you tell me where to buy good quality and reasonable priced grip socks? DS is u13 and plays competitive travel soccer.

However, I thought that was ridiculous too and bought a few different types to see which one worked best. The cheap ones do fall apart. But, these are the ones we went with and my son loves (U16). Also, we NEVER put them in the dryer. We believe that helps to prevent damage to the sticky parts too.

Thats about right. Look at it as when your investing 3K per yr in soccer 50 isn't that much.

Honest question- our coach is VERY strict about wearing the correct team socks even to practice. When do you wear these?

At both practice and games. They cut off the bottom of the uniform socks to wear from the ankle up to match the rest of the team.

You wear them normal. You cut your team issue socks just above the foot. Wear the top half. Its very common in fact Adidas now makes the pre cut socks to wear over grip socks.

Grandma sews them up where they are cut, so not an issue for us.
