| Everyone’s favorite worrier about eyesight and rain-washed apples is now insisting that it’s triggering for kids to have their temperature taken with a forehead thermometer because it’s like putting a gun to their heads. Discuss. |

| I can see how ttat might be the case for the tiny percentage of kids who have PTSD from being victims of violent crime. For those people, other arrangements can be made. |

| Saw it and totally rolled my eyes. But it was more the “we don’t want to normalize guns to heads for our children” that made me snicker. If a wrist is just as accurate, have at it. Although I completely agree – temp checks re covid are just theater. |

+1. Those things are rarely accurate anyway, unless I was strolling into work every day with a temp of 95.5 Our school put them away for summer school |
