Eyelash lengthening/darkening

In acquaintance has mentioned a prescription for a cream that she rubs on her eyelids that is intended to make her eyelashes grow longer and darker Has anyone heard of this? I overheard her talking about it and am intrigued (because she has grat lashes, and didn't a few months ago).

no way would I rub a cream over my eyes for darker/longer eyelashes!

Prescriptions for lashes are the new big thing. Before trying, you need to understand the side effects. In many cases, the color of the iris changes! Instances of women with blue eyes ending up with brown.

I am leery of doing anything near the eye whether it is trying lash growing products or lash tinting. Just too much at stake.

The one with Brooke Shields in the TV commercial is Latisse.

Look carefully at Latisse. Some major and irreversible side effects.

...side effects that, like everything else, are one in a million (not to completely discount them, but the side effects are really rare). Every woman I know that uses it has basically fans for eyelashes these days. Downside is that it goes away once you stop, and it's expensive (between $125-$160 for a 6-week pack).

I'm on day 4--I'll let you know if I see any side effects and how it goes otherwise.

Major and irreversible side effects DO NOT include have longer, darker eyelashes forever. Once you stop using Latisse, your eyelashes will go back to what they were.

"What happens if I stop using LATISSEĀ®?If you stop using LATISSEĀ®, your eyelashes are expected to return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months." http://www.latisse.com/FAQs.aspx?state=14

I'd rather have professional fake eyelashes for the time I wanted longer eyelashes.

Recent stories have come out that some of the major side effects is turning the color of the iris permanently. Story of a woman with blue eyes that turned brown.

As with everything, you need to be careful with any drugs that you use. A required prescription, rather than OTC, says volumes.

Similar story with the skin whitening creams - serious side effects. Buyer beware.

I haven't used the cream but I have had professional lengthening done before and I LOVE IT. Essentially you sit for a couple of hours while someone applies false eyelashes one by one. They last about 4-6 weeks. Love love love it and worth every penny if you ask me.
