Another DC Teacher Holiday Gift Question

I know there have been several questions on this topic so I appologize if I'm repeating anything here. This is the first year that our DC has organized a group gift for the parents to contribute to. How much is normally contributed to something like this and do I still need to get an individual gift for our main teachers? We have 1 child in this DC if that matters.
