Became a Sugar Baby
Went to a BDSM club where a lot of University students were in attendance(coincidence they drove 100+ mi)
No drugs/alcohol though, mostly sexually.

I’m 26 btw, so somewhat recent.

DD 19
Tried dating girls, but it didn’t work out as of yet.
Tried moving in with her girlfriend
Typical alcohol
She’s a lot happier enrolled in Uni, in her own apartment.

I don’t expect my teen to tell me this. Do you kids really tell you this? Especially related to Sex? I certainly didn’t share this w my parents.

The 19 year old did, I wasn’t really interested about wether she was a lesbian or not. But after discussing diseases that still could be transmitted, protection (the best way I knew how), she told me she didn’t feel comfortable having a sexual relationship with a women. It just came out. Then she moved on discussing her first male sexual encounter.

Then we discussed infidelity, people’s emotions, and got her apartment that week.

Gosh that was a lot more then what you asked for.

My 2DC went to Beach Week, 4 years apart.

At each BW, there was sexual and alcohol experimentation.

One DC experienced a hangover.

One DC friend had same-sex experimentation.

My kid started working at the hospital to get a taste of working in Medicine would be like before moving out.

She chose Software Engineering instead.

My kid bought a parka in preparation for Chicago weather, and until July was wearing it everyday until she practically melted into it (we are in Southern California...I felt like she was Kenny from that cartoon show)

She's thinking of going back to her birthname (vs her nickname)

My dd developed masochistic/stoic tendencies the summer before college. She insisted that we cut her off financially and emotionally for two months so she could practice survival.

DS seemed to separate from us all senior year. By the summer, he was like a kind boarder in our home!

Stayed out all night without letting me know where he was
Invited a girl to sleep over at our house / in his room (he texted me at 1am to let me know)
Bought a motorcycle while DH and I were out of town for the weekend
Left his pot stash on our kitchen island late one night (we took it)
Bought lollapalooza tickets and drove to Chicago and back from DC with his 2 friends and only told us his plans a few days before

I hope your kid is not like mine lol

Snuck out. Tried drinking. Snuck boyfriend into our basement overnight. Ugh. It’s been a long year. Took everything away for quite a while and we are letting her go out again. She always makes her curfew now. I don’t know whether to think this rebelliousness will make her more or less likely to go wild at college… (she’s already tried some stuff so less likely to be curious or she’s tried stuff and it was fun so wants to do more….).
