Bringing Up Bebe and Expecting Better/Cribsheet. I don't agree with everything Emily Oster says (for example, I abstained completely from coffee/alcohol in pregnancy after finding out I was pregnant -- she is more lax than that). But both those books really meshed well with my parenting attitudes.
I also found Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child (the Dr. Weissbluth book) useful, although I ended up doing more of a Ferber approach to sleep training. |
+1. Loved Bringing Up Bebe and Emily Oster books |
| Precious Little Sleep is easy to read and very helpful. It is very pro CIO but also has other strategies. |

For the first few months, Happiest Baby on the Block
After that, the Weissbluth sleep book and Burton White's "The New First Three Years of Life". For that one I liked the info on development and suggestions of toys and activities. Beyond that, Anthony Wolf, especially his book on dealing with siblings. |
