Vein in forehead

Anonymous
I have a vein in my forehead that is getting prominent as I age. It’s in the middle of my forehead and almost looks like an eleven line. Anything to do here?

I think you can have it lasered off. Go to a place that specializes in varicose veins on the legs. I had one under my eye removed. It was actually not a big deal.

Is this a bulging, vertical vein? I've seen this on many people. I doubt there's anything you can do besides camouflaging with makeup.

This happens after years of Botox. You'll have to stop Botox to allow your facial muscles to come back and properly keep your veins in place.

Once again, none of the answers here are correct.

OP, sclerotherapy is probably the only thing that will remove it. If it’s truly bulging, you’ll need a phlebectomy. Lasers work, but they are for smaller veins — certainly nothing large and bulging. Proceed with caution on the sclerotherapy or phlebectomy, as you can be left with a permanent bruise from the sclero or a scar from the phlebectomy. And you’ll have to see an expert to make sure you’re not knocking out an important vein.

I have this but it usually is only prominent if I’m hot, exercising, or working really hard. No big deal.

When I was working as a nurse, when out head nurse would call me in her office, she would always joke she could tell how busy things were on the floor based on whether or not my forehead vein was out. I still laugh about that since it was so true!

OP here, I've never had Botox. I had a hard year health-wise last year, and it aged me and this vein popped out. Perhaps facial exercise would do the trick?

It is probably more prominent now from loss of facial fat as we age. Perhaps some filler in the area would make it less noticeable. But is it really worth it? I’m sure no one else notices

IT might be too low of body fat.

NP. Mine is prominent when I’m at my leanest.

Angelina Jolie never took it off, I wonder why.

Julia Roberts has one. I figure if celebrities can’t do anything about theirs, we’re probably out of luck too.

You need to make sure you see a really good doctor. I have a vein on my forehead. I asked my doctor who treated the varicose veins on my legs and he wouldn’t touch it. There could be serious implications with veins leading to the brain area. He said he could shrink it some, but would not remove it.

Seriously people, these veins are supplying/removing blood flow from your brain. Don't touch them. Angelina, Julia, Kristin Chenoweth all have them- gaining weight may help but seriously don't stress this. These are NOT superficial veins.
