This woman is so awesome. Her joy is contagious.
And, she plans to give the money she won to her mom to start a food truck.
What a role model.

She’s amazing! I think she’s going to end up as a star she’s so engaging and likable.

She is amazing and I love her enthusiasm. It is weird that right wing Twitter seems to want to use her to make some sort of statement. No one has asked her opinions on racism or CRT or whatever issues the talking heads on both sides want to make a big deal out of, so who knows how she feels about any of that? And who cares? She is celebrating her gold medal. Leave it at that without trying to compare her to Megan Rapinoe or whoever. The right who got us no place telling Democrats they make everything about race when they do stuff like this.

Oh wow I didn’t realize that was going on.

I think it is refreshing to see an athlete show such pride and enthusiasm for competing for her country.
You can see she is really proud to be American.
People don't care what her view on CRT or racism or any of that is.... AND THAT IS THE POINT.
She is showing pure joy for competing in her sport and representing her country. That is why people love her.
And, she is not afraid to express her faith either.

I agree with you, which is why I don't think she should be used to try to score political points or make some sort of political statement. But that is what right wing Twitter is doing.

A star doing what? The only route to be a 'star' wrestler is do go into the WWE/AEW.

Nobody is making this into a political statement. People are pointing out that this is the way this nation once celebrated athletes at the olympics...... Athletes were proud to compete under the American flag.
Too many athletes have made their appearance at the olympics about THEM and not about competing for their country. Too many athletes have made their competition at the olympics a political statement.
Tamyra hasn't done that. She exudes joy and pride. Love her!!!

NP. Is that what you are doing too? Aren’t you the one introducing CRT and racism into this thread? Let’s just celebrate this amazing and proud athlete!

+1. And it’s not our fault as viewers that the American athletes who are making it all about them (and often their politics) don’t seem to be thriving. I mean, it’s hard not to notice.
