If Hiring a part time nanny - like 3 days a week, how do you determine their pay, and PTO?
|
In DC and Maryland there is mandatory sick leave that accrues per hours worked. |
6 days off a year which is two weeks. Guaranteed pay. |
Pay is determined by the nanny’s education and experience. And is actually set by the nanny herself.
PTO is accrued but legal holidays are paid outright. |
We did an an hour each of sick/vacation per 24 hours worked. |
Pay is set by the nanny so you list your pay range and then find applicants within your range.
PTO should be two weeks worth (so if she works 3 days per week, give her 6 days per year of PTO) and then paid holidays that fall on work days |
?? I'm in DC and I've never heard about this. Can you provide more information? |
