How do you and your spouse greet each other in the morning?

I get up earlier and go for a run. By the time DH wakes up I have been up for a few hours and he usually comes by my desk to give me a peck before going to open his laptop.

I sometimes wish we had more passion and had morning sex or a much more romantic exchange. Wondering what other couples are like.

We have coffee together every morning at 6:00 or 6:30 until our toddler wakes up at 7:00-7:30.

It's essential.

Sometimes we are silent and just enjoying the quiet time together. But it's always bonding time.

I like to get up and go to bed at the same time as him, even if I'm reading a book later than he falls asleep. I am NOT a morning person and he is NOT a night owl but it keeps us in the same rhythm.

Sleep in separate rooms. We do not greet each other in the morning unless I say hello.

Count your blessings OP.

I say 'sup bish!

Actually, nothing. I'm up and off to work before he wakes up. Usually text each other a hello.

Sometimes if I'm feeling a certain way I'll give him a quick peck on the forehead, but I doubt he notices.

Whoever is awake first (about 50-50) makes the other person coffee and brings it up stairs. A general good morning.

If we are awake early we might lounge in bed for a few minutes or have relations. If not, we talk generally about any plans for the day as we get ready.

I somewhat agree with this. Getting disappointed because you don’t romance every day (or most days) before work seems like a good way to set yourself up for resentment, especially when you haven’t communicated your desire for this or initiated it.

DH and I usually chat for a bit while he drinks his tea.

It's normally something like "the kids are up" and we are off to start our day.

I get up to exercise and say good morning if he's awake, try to give a kiss and a hug. If he's asleep I like to let him sleep. He's usually away when I return, I say good morning.

That's it.

Oh, but sometimes if we are both up early we'll have sex and I'll skip the other exercise.
