What is your favorite meal delivery service for the postpartum period? Looking for something that is largely prepped and just needs to be cooked.
Considering gobble and daily harvest currently. Curious to hear experiences with these or recommendations for others. Would also love recommendations for a DC based service if there is anything. |

Friends of our sent us a delivery from Spoonful of Comfort (soup, rolls, cookies) after our second daughter was born last year. It was enough that we got 2 or 3 meals out of it. I was so impressed that I've used it for food delivery to friends and family 3 times since then.
Heat and eat. Couldn't be easier. I think we could have frozen it for later use, too, if we had wanted to do that. |
| I just discovered Georgie and Tom's, and it's the best service I've tried to date. Super fresh, healthy, filling, and minimal prep/cooking. It's about $100/week for 4 meals that serve two people each. |

OP here - thank you both! Looking into these options and welcome additional ideas.
Forgot to mention originally we have a preschooler as well so ideally looking for food he would/could eat too. |

DC Based - I love Foodhini.
https://foodhini.com/ If you're not used to spice or foreign dishes, I would just suggest these as a treat or a nice meal for you and the spouse. |
| I found Gobble to be rather greasy/heavy and not the healthiest of meal delivery options I tried. I like Daily Harvest and subscribe, but one of their “me also is rarely enough for me unless I add a chicken breast or fish. I actually like Daily Harvest for microwaveable veggie side dishes, which ultimately cuts down on food prep. Their smoothies are not very good IMO. |
