Which clubs are having regularly scheduled summer training? I thought the norm was a summer break, but hearing of more and more teams that have been practicing and scrimmaging for weeks.

Premier AC holds practices all Summer long 2 times per week. The only exception is if the feel like temps are over 100 at practice time.

I'm on a PAC spam list and I keep getting emails that there weekly "camps" are being cancelled due to lack of interest. Are these camps in addition to team practices?

The camps hav nothing to do with practices. Practice can be m-f 5pm til 930 pm depending on team and age. The camps were done in place of a residential camp Pac usually host for 1 week in July that was cancelled due to covid restrictions. Camps are open to anyone not just or required by Pac players.

This is insane. Why would anyone want to roast on turf fields in the middle of the summer?

Our team practiced during the summer in the late evening when it cooled down. It's a lighter practice with some conditioning and small-sided scrimmages. Kids enjoy it and keeps them active...no one was roasting

99.5 degrees no problem, but over 100 we cancel.

Camps, "pick up games", and fitness testing in summer. Full time practices start next week. Giddy up.

There's no difference in team soccer practice, soccer camp, super y practice, or just summer camp with outdoor play or team sports. It's all hot.

Potomac is holding mixed-age practices and GK clinics all summer and many individual teams are also practicing 1x a week.

My kids have enjoyed camps 9-3pm on turf. They almost always do 1-2 weeks of outdoor soccer camp.

Dumb and dumber. Not you, but these summer hot weather activities.

The kids want to do it (at least mine does). So LFG. Parents need to realize it's not about them.
