I’m 43. Secondary infertility. I have one cycle left. Am I told old for Shady Grove?

Nice. Thanks everyone. What doctor helped you if you were over 40?

Dr. Osborn. Others say she is a tad aloof but I found her to be patient, thoughtful, and driven to help. I felt that she and the whole office were rooting for me. The Sibley office is small and felt like a boutique so my questions were always answered and the nurses do a lot of extra handholding (which I needed to stay on protocol) but for monitoring, I could go anywhere.

Btw, I have also seen Dr. Frankfurter at GW and he is brilliant and amazing but SGF offered more flexibility in terms of monitoring and financially, provided more options. For one, you can get acupuncture on site timed with your procedures.

Sorry to hear that. Who did you see next?

I did my first transfer with them at age 43, after recovering from a myomectomy, using an embryo from a retrieval cycle I did with them about a year earlier. It worked, and is now my daughter. Age 44 and a half now, hoping to try again with one of the remaining embryos soon.

They are awful. Find another practice NOW. I wish I had.
