APS Email Typos

The latest email that just came out re: masking requirements.

The subject line says, "APS School Tsalk - APS Mask...."

They constantly send out mass communications with glaring errors. I don't know how or why it is apparently so hard for someone over at Syphax to review something prior to hitting send or rely on good old spellcheck.

It realllllly drains my confidence in their competence to educate when they can't even push out emails to thousands of families with correct spelling.

and their Assistant Coaches (names deleted). Join your friends from Centennial High School and Come Out for JV or Varsity Football. OP here--it's like they read DCUM and saw this, or, someone took two seconds to scan the bleeping email--they just sent out a correction.

The parents of Arlington need something new to complain about each week or they’ll die.
The same parents who will complain about typos will raise hell if their children aren’t allowed to redo an assignment.

That's impressive. On the MCPS forum, someone pointed out a bunch of typos in official communications, and the MCPS flunkies came out in droves and their reaction was basically to pick on the grammar of people posting on this listserv (and they identified questionable grammar flaws).

Wait—so if parents “complaining” about emails with typos is wrong, then, is APS sending out public facing guidance and information without checking for content, clarity, or accuracy, right?

The point is that all people deserve the chance to correct their mistakes without people freaking out.

I have noticed the random capitalization more and more often in emails. It’s so weird.
