Moving Announcement/Postcard?

Anonymous
I'm hoping you can help me out with an inexpensive moving announcement. I am giving birth a few months after we move and will be sending out baby announcements. I think it will be too long to wait to announce are new address as well. I remember in the past receiving a cute postcard that was printed with a friend's new address. Has anyone seen anything like this?

I know that I could just send out a mass email but I would prefer to actually mail out an announcement. So far I think my least expensive choices are to do a card on snapfish/shutterfly or print a card out at kinko's. I was hoping to do the postcard to save a little on postage.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have seen card like that you fill in with your address. I think at card shops like Hallmark. I like your snapfish idea, may use it soon when we move. thanks

just type "change of address postcard" into google and you'll see several options for places to order these from.

Take a photo of your new home. Purchase heavy card stock at a stationary store or somewhere like Office Depot/Staples. Create a 'mailer' postcard on Publisher or even Mic. Word. You can prefill all the info and write a quick message (e.g. Break out your address books, we've moved!) You can print everything up at home and as long as the size does not exceed 5x7 you just stick a stamp on it and mail it.

We have done this every time we move and everyone likes to see the photo of the new house and because you are creating the document yourself it can be as simple or as creative as your taste dictates.

Good luck with the move and the baby!

Snapfish has a moving postcard you can order and use your own photo. If your addresses are in excel, you can even uplaod those and have them addressed for you.

We also moved a few months after having our baby and put him in a suitcase and took a picture, so you see him in the suitcase, a suitcase behind him and the words "New Address" under him. Then all our info and a little poem i wrote on the other side

I get moving cards at www.thestationarystudio.com. They have pricier stuff as well as inexpensive stuff.
