He doesn't work there anymore. He's at VRSC.

First part is definitely true but are you sure about the second? He’s not on VRSC’s website.

Who are the coaches who have been at VRSC’s ID sessions? I recognized NE, MJ, and JJ but there was at least one other coach I didn’t recognize. The FCV coaches have not been there, presumably because they are still employed by FCV for the spring season.

That shouldn't have anything to do with it.

BP has been announced for VDA next season, currently still coaching at FCV. RQ announced at SYC, still coaching this season at Valor. I'm certain there's a few more but you get the idea.

Post said they weren’t at ID session, not that they weren’t announced. They weren’t at ID sessions because of non-compete clause in employment contracts, and half the kids at the ID sessions are from FCV.

The announcement still doesn't line up with what VRSC has said will be the slate. Publicly announced JJ, they made zero mention of JJ as a staff coach in meetings.

Bait and switch. But the vision sounds great

I was told JJ is not leading a GA team, but will work with the program. Looked her up and she’s been in the youth game for over ten years, assisted with college programs, played with Trinidad NT. Seems qualified although not well known at all. 09 team was terrible with 0 wins in EDP. However, parent said they are coached well but that player pool just isn’t talented enough to compete.

If true, that means they’ve only identified two coaches for six teams. That’s what FCV has been doing of late with BP and CC, but it doesn’t seem ideal. Why hasn’t VRSC clarified who will be coaching its GA teams?

MJ, CC, JJ, ED, JS

JS just working with the GKs. JJ has zero business coaching a GA team. ED is a weird dude but ok, I guess he’s at least qualified. CC and MJ are fine (although I question MJ’s passion for it anymore vs just going through the motions and collecting a paycheck - too much time at Revolution).

FCV 2.0. Can they get the players?

Maybe check pics here? https://varevolution.com/staff/. No pic of PR but he’s a middle-aged white guy with dark hair. Came from Herndon a few years back if memory serves. Don’t know anything about him other than that, though.

This looks legit but it’s not visible on their GA or staff pages.

They better hope so.

Unprofessional not a high level coach heard he was messing around with a parent

I can’t speak to this, because I don’t know if this true. But he would always spend his time with the parents at bars at tournaments.

Must be a FCV thing. Adam was doing that with parents this fall at tournaments as well.

We want answers!!!

Where are the fields???

FCV apparently has started making GA offers. Is anyone accepting at this point? Current FCV players? Who else attended ID sessions?
Anonymous
Very few GA1 are accepting. Many GA2 players will accept their offer.
Anonymous
I know of at least 10 who accepted offers from ECNL teams around the area. VDA, NVA, Union and Bethesda. I’m sure there are more and even more that have yet to accept.

Retaliation against players is illegal and will be reported to proper authorities.

Hazing or conduct that subjects a person to physical, mental, emotional, or psychological abuse, humiliation, or degradation as a condition of joining or being socially accepted by a team, group, or organization.

Some kids were made to run laps when they told the club they were leaving.

BC sent an email to the families that said "We will make a few phone calls today and the rest tomorrow for our offers. If your daughter told me she wasn’t staying with the club, we will not make a call."

Have they announced who will be coaching each GA team? I recall someone posting DR for 2012s. Which team is BC coaching? Do they have additional coaches yet?
