I don’t agree with the toxic culture and the rest of the PP garbage but not being eliminated only prolongs the myth of invincibility without the desire or need to truly improve how the players are identified and developed to compete on the future international stage.

I don’t agree with the toxic culture and the rest of the PP garbage but not being eliminated only prolongs the myth of invincibility without the desire or need to truly improve how the players are identified and developed to compete on the future international stage.

Most of the current players will be too old for the next World Cup/Olympics anyhow. Hence, the rebuilding will start immediately after this Olympics.

The rebuilding is based on a old model though. Europe has caught up and will likely surpass us in all phases of the game.

Yes, we will start the rebuild but we will use a very old blueprint to do it with.

Announcers during game realized that there is only one player from the Australia starting 11 who plays in the NWSL, but a lot of them used to. All the best players are going elsewhere to play and the women’s US league is going from the equivalent of the premier league to MLS.

Been saying it for a while but not many people watch the SL or Champions Leagues. European women’s club soccer is superior to the NWSL. It is fun to watch, they play the same style as the men and they have rising young stars who are 18-20 years. You should watch it with your kids just for the commentary and analysis.

It’s just the USWNT is not about soccer. It’s about US women winning, being the best in the world and everything that goes with it. It is not about soccer but an emotional connection. I think the people who know soccer or watch a lot of soccer could see this coming. The thing is our youth women’s teams have been getting crushed in international play for a few years now.

I do not understand the selection of this team. In these tournaments you need young player. Olympics soccer has a small roster and games 3 days apart. We brought old players(players over 30) and many of the starters have or are recovering from injuries. The injuries tighten up when you play this many games,
