Have not been out to a restaurant since the pandemic! What are some restaurants that have had great vegetarian food lately? Doesn’t have to be all veg, but have good options. Anywhere in DC or close-in MoCo is fine and we like all cuisines. Preferably with outdoor dining. |
I’m not vegetarian but I recently had an amazing meal at True Food Kitchen. I got the edamame dumplings, spaghetti squash casserole and chocolate lava cake. All were sooo good and I didn’t miss the meat at all. |
Pre-COVID, Thai X-ing had a five course vegetarian menu that I loved (as a meat eater). It's in a fun area near the 9:30 club... |
Rasika West End. |
https://www.thrillist.com/eat/washington-dc/best-vegetarian-vegan-restaurants-in-washington-dc This is a good list from Thrillist. I would try Ethiopian/Eritrean food--such great veggie combos. Lots of good options all over DC and MD. |
Fancy Radish- we were 4 people, 2 vegetarians 2 not, and everyone loved it |
Thanks all! I will check that list out.
I used to live right by Thai X-ing and used to eat there all the time - their pumpkin curry, yum. Been to Fancy Radish once and liked that too. |
Equinox. MITA at La Cosecha. Rasika. Zaytinya. Iron Gate was good pre-pandemic. I want to try Maydan. |
Maydan is amazing for vegetarians. |
Silver Diner |
Little Pearl. You can ask for everything to be made vegetarian, or they will come up with a substitution that is vegetarian. |
Not sure about their seating ssituation, but got Doordash (judge me quietly, please) from Chloe recently and it was FABULOUS. |
