Did anyone here leave NYC for the suburbs?

DH and I are thinking about moving to the suburbs, which is truly something I never thought we would do. We need more space, are tired of paying private school tuition and everything is just so expensive in general.
For those who left, are you happy with your decision or do you have regrets? Our kids are 6 and 9 so this would be a really big change for us all. |

| Yes we left, when I was trying to get pregnant with our first. I don’t regret it and enjoy going back to the city to visit for overnights or dinner at a nice hotel. Plus, my office is there and ore covid I commuted. Was more than enough for me. It’s a different equation for everyone, but overall find having kids in the suburbs to be easier. With a 6 and 9 year old I feel like you’re possibly past the hardest part though. |

I left the city when the kids were young, I really hated living in the suburbs myself, getting depressed.
Kids enjoy the house tho. |
