BS, Juniors and younger is more likely than just Sophomores. Most likely ignores edge cases by definition. |

In the 2026–2027 school year, children born after August 1, 2010, will generally be entering 10th grade (Sophomore year) or 11th grade (Junior year), depending on their specific birth month and your local district's cutoff date. 2010s born after 8/1 are most likely to be Juniors and lower next fall not Seniors. Still 100% correct. Not even remotely true. Grade has been added to the real age group table to try to convince/shame grade year into existence. Name a club in the DMV that is letting kids to choose to play up? Still waiting. All your work for GY has been an utter failure and top teams for next year are ready to go. Clubs are filling much lower teams now. |
I cant believe that you're still posting the wrong info. |
Its all mathematically correct. Sorry if you do t like reality. |

Wrong. Show your work, where's the proof? |
You didn't know? Come next season, the concept of Month/Day/Year is going to have us all in a tailspin No one will understand. It will be mayhem and Armageddon |

If someone is looking for a saner discussion on this, I found this interesting. Echoes the case-by-case nature for outliers. All viewpoints represented in normal conversation:
https://www.reddit.com/r/youthsoccer/comments/1rvsrsj/august_birthday_sept_1_school_cut_off/ August birthday Sept. 1 school cut off Hey - just want to poll the parents of young teens whose kids were born in August but school year cut off is Sept. 1. How many of us are there here? If you are a parent whose son falls in this gap - what are you doing? Is there an option to push up? I have been excited all along because my son will finally get to be the tallest and oldest since he's always the youngest at school. Today he said he was worried might not be challenged enough but then said it might help him stand out (very tall). Therefore I just wanted to come here to hear everyone's perspective about if they have a kid in this category and your thoughts. Also, next year my son will be in 9th and will try out for high school soccer. In addition, our highest level here is ECNL - no MLS next nearby - closest is 6 hour drive. |
