Anyone here order the new McLaren Sabre?

What is the point of this post? This is a $4 million car and only 15 are going to be made for the U.S. market.
So...no. Nobody cruising around the DCUM car forum ordered it. In fact, nobody ordered it at all -- these are cars they offer to "allocate" to mostly previous buyers. Also, have you seen the potholes around here? |
|
Most of the posts are about the same few SUVs on the market so why can’t someone post about something different? There’s a McLaren dealership in Sterling so that means there are owners in the area. There was a Senna driving around the Arlington streets recently so why would it far fetched for someone to order a special car?
There are potholes everywhere so what’s your point? I own a sports car and still drive it too. |
| Fugly AF. |
For $3.9 million dollars, I’d buy a small farmette with an airstrip, a Cessna 172, a Super Decathlon, a refitted 1970’s Grand Banks 44 trawler, a house on the Severn River with a deep water dock, and a half dozen older exotic cars. And still have a ton of cash left over. $4 mil can either buy you a car, or buy you a lifestyle. I’ll take lifestyle. |
| No. Are you? |
| Even I would carjack that |
| Who wants to drive around in something that looks like a nascar? And who can fit in it with all the covid weight gain around here? A horse jockey? |
I've had a LeSabre before. Does that count? |
| “Dunder Mifflin and Sabre…” |
NASCAR? WTF? |
It costs almost four million dollars. Think about how many people experiencing homelessness that amount of money could help. Or how many disadvantaged children that could send to college. Or how many people coming to the US fleeing environmental devastation in Latinx American that money could provide healthcare for. It’s disgraceful. If I saw that car parked in DC, I would take my heels off and beat every inch of it with them like a hammer. |
What’s the threshold to avoid getting attacked? Asking for a friend. |
Sorry, I don't think this is a WTF moment. It is a street legal race car and looks like it. |
| Yea, but NASCAR race cars are designed to resemble current production family sedans and coupes. The closest race car type this McLaren resembles is McLaren. Imagine someone calling a ribeye steak a great burger. |
