Peg Perego or Maclaren

Anonymous
I am in the market for a lightweight umbrella stroller and am trying to decide between these two makers. I've had a Maclaren and loved it, but like the footboard feature on the Peg. Any Peg lovers or haters out there?

Had a Peg - got rid of it and bought a Maclaren. You can buy the board add on for a Maclaren. Pegs just don't hold up well and the steering is pretty atrocious (considering you're spending more than $200 on it!)

Had the Maclaren Volo and hated it. it did not recline and I found the straps very hard to tighten. Don't know about the other Maclarens.

If you're looking for a pure umbrella stroller, I LOVE my Maclaren volo. But agree with PP that, since it doesn't recline, it's a good stroller for travel or where you need to take something easy and lightweight. I have a Maclaren Techno XLR for big outings when I need something sturdier and it reclines and is almost as plush as a bed which is great if my son is tired. I was just about ready to get a Peg but then talked to a few other moms with Pegs and heard nothing but complaints so decided to go with the Maclarens. Just depends on what your needs are...

Maclaren all the way. Had a Peg, ran over it by accident, and was happy I did. The Maclaren strolls so much easier, and you can stroll it with one hand (unlike with the Peg).
I'd buy a Maclaren agaIN.

All Maclaren all the way!

OP here -so - which model is better? The Triumph or the Quest?

Not sure about those two models, but we have the Techno XT and love it! One of its greatest features is a full sun shade.

I have a McClaren we liked a lot. Mainly for the taller handles so my husband could push without bending over.

15:25 here. I like our Triumph very much. Also love our Volo for a very lightweight but very sturdy umbrella-type stroller. Don't have a Quest. Had a Vogue and loved it but gave it away; too many strollers! Hear great things about the Techno XT.

Love my McLaren! Have the Volo. I got the charcoal, but didn't like the white sun shade, replaced it with the black. The stroller is a breeze to open and close...and very very lightweight but extremely sturdy.
