Please recommend your Moving company.

We are moving from Southern,Md to Manassas.
We don't have very much stuff,a bedroom set, clothes, and knick knacks. We need a moving company that will break down our bed, and set it up in the new place.

Thanks for any suggestions.

We used Beltway and had a great experience.

We moved last weekend within NOVA and use Great Scott Moving. We did most of our own packing and had them load the boxes we packed along with the bulky furniture like bed, dresser, crib, big screen tv, sofa, dining set, etc.

They were superfast and had the truck loaded within an hour! We ended up paying about half of their quote since they finished so quickly, but we tipped the guys generously for rearranging furniture at the new place and not breaking anything and generally being great movers.

I've used Boxcart Moving and Storage twice and have had a great experience each time.

We used Beltway recently and thought they weren't very careful. Marked up walls and scuffed up doorways in many places. My mom recently used Ron's Moving with good results.

Town & Country. They are awesome.

Completely agree. We have moved four times in six years, and the last one was with T&C. They came in under their estimate and did an excellent and careful job.

They're seriously great. I used them two weeks ago and have NO complaints. NOTHING was broken, misplaced, scratched, etc. They delivered boxes ahead of time for free and I only had to pay for the ones I used. The three movers were professional, fast, courteous, respectful ... They give you a not to exceed price, and it was lower than the other two bids I got (JK and Beltway). The driver arrived at the end of the range he was supposed to, but called because he was in traffic and was worried he'd be late. They were really good.

Big Green. Fantastic work. Only moving company I've ever heard of that said at the end, "our estimate was too high."

Great Scott Movers.

Irish Movers.

We used Gulliver's Movers, and they were great -- fast and able to cope with the chaos that comes from moving with three children.

I did read some negative reviews of them on Angie's List or Checkbook -- can't remember which -- but we weren't moving anything valuable and Gulliver's was the least expensive.

We used Town and Country and then last time used Boxcart. While both were OK, I would use T&C again because they came in under estimate and Boxcart's estimate was WAY off.

The actual T&C movers we had were great. The packers were terrible and overloaded the boxes with fragile things, like china. The movers nearly died trying to move the boxes. It's a miracle nothing was broken (unlike when we used J&K moving and they broke A LOT of stuff, though they did pay up).

I agree they were quick and courteous and gratiously put up with my "maybe I want that big heavy bookshelf downstairs. Or upstairs. Can you move it three times?"
