Should I be worried? I emailed the property manager to see if they're up to date with inspections. I was telling my sister one week before the Miami collapse my concerns about the building coming down. Life is crazy.
Definitely ask a message board for parents but definitely don't give us any further details so we can just go crazy with speculation. Good times.
Ceiling collapse sounds like a leak that brought down the drywall, not a serious structural problem.
Of course, it could also come down at any second, idk!
I would move out, with all valuables and paperwork.
What do you mean when you say partial ceiling collapse? Do you mean plaster or do you mean beams?
|
I would leave immediately, never to return.
Yeah we beee more info. It could’ve just been a leak….
I don’t know what happened. It’s appears the the ceiling area above the front desk fell. Everything is covered with plastic right now. My neighbor mentioned something was going on this weekend and she’s worried about the buildings condition. I just moved in 5 weeks ago. They have sent an email last week letting us know they have booked a full inspection and will tell us the results “soon”.
Sorry she mentioned it this morning not weekend! |
It must be more serious than just false ceiling falling down... Continue to place max pressure on them. |
Is this in the DC area?
Get photos. Show an engineer. You have a right to see it.
Could be pipe leak though that damaged dry wall?
