Help w/ knee leather black boots for business casual at work!

I need help - i have a pair of conservative knee high leather black boots- I;ve seen women wear these at work but I can't figure out how to wear them! I wear a lot of black- conservative but don't need to wear suits..

So- FOR WORK- please answer and provide tips

so- can i wear them with a long black skirt? or are long black skirts our ot fashion?

can i wear them with mid knee high skirts? If skin shows with any of the above- do I wear opaque hose or nothing?

Can I wear them with a long spring a skirt?

ps. long defined as ankle length..

No boots with spring skirts, it looks funny--kind of like wearing sandals with wool pants.

Yes, you can wear short skirts with boots. Opaque hose are fine. I wouldn't wear ankle length skirts unless I'm meeting with my coven. Slightly longer straight skirts (pencil skirts) are fine with boots, though.

No boots with a long skirt - you'll look like Laura Ingalls Wilder.

I'd pair the boots with a short skirt, like PP suggested. I've also seen them paired nicely with a knee length wrap dress.

Time to put them away now unless you're wearing them with pants. I go by the rule if you don't need a jacket outside all day it's too hot for boots, especially tall knee boots.

Only with black tights. There is nothing worse than someone wearing their knee high boots without tights and showing off their knobby knees. Not cute. All knees look knobby when they are highlighted between a skirt and boots.
