Where to buy quality chicken necks, feet, backs for home made chicken broth in Northern Virginia?

I usually buy bone broth from more expensive brands like Bare Bones, but they are expensive and home made chicken broth is so much better. I have a great recipe for home made chicken broth that uses chicken carcass, chicken feet, chicken wings, chicken necks, chicken backs ( and of course other vegetable and spice ingredients). I live in Alexandria, VA and cannot find chicken necks, feet, backs in any of the stores like Whole Foods, Safeway, Costco. Does any of you make home made chicken broth?

I do, but I just use a cut up whole chicken. I really don't miss the feet and neck or other various parts.

Farmers markets usually sell packs for $3 or so. It’s so much better than store bought!

Some Whole Foods have backs in the freezer. And you can’t go wrong with wings or legs in a pinch. The Asian grocers sell necks and feet and all of that, but I am always a little concerned about the industrial breeding…

You might check Eastern Market in DC. You could also buy a whole chicken. When I cook chicken in my Instant Pot, it creates a lovely broth — with zero extra effort.

Go to a halal butcher. They sell all the parts.

I just use the carcass from our roast chickens that I collect in the freezer. I don’t think the parts matter very much.

We’ve gotten chicken necks from the butcher shop on Mount Vernon Avenue in Del Ray —Let’s Meat on the Avenue

This may be several months too late to be helpful, but we sell pasture-raised, non-gmo chicken backs (neck attached) and feet at our farm store in Marshall, VA. www.livingpasturesfarm.com

It stinks because out west there are plenty of chicken feet available in grocery stores, probably because of the high mexican population who use chicken feet in certain dishes.

In DC I could never find any
