2007 Girls Teams with space on roster?

Anonymous
Looking for suggestions for any 2007 (U15) Girls teams (not rec.) that may still need to fill spots on their roster. We’re in Bethesda but can travel.

Depends on your level... Arlington and McLean (VA Fusion) offer you the best landing spots

Potomac soccer may have space.

Metro. They will let you practice with the team but play games at one of their partner clubs.

Need some more detail for a real answer here....what level player are you talking about? High level (GA/ECNL) or just "regular" travel (non-rec)? There are many teams/options to choose from, and depending on your DD skill level, there are many clubs that would find room if warranted. Higher end options in MD include Bethesda, MD United, Pipeline, and Baltimore (Celtic/Armour). Higher end options in VA include FCV, Loudoun, Arlington, BRYC, and Metro. Many on this board will happily give you their (biased) opinion on any/all of these clubs, and they all have their advantages and disadvantages, so you really should contact the club/coach and see if you can join a practice and see them for yourselves before you let the anonymous clowns on this board influence you too much......

MD Rush Montgomery (MRM) Coyotes might have openings.

BRYC uses a player pool system at that age. Maybe try them? Kind of a drive from Bethesda, though.

MSI Classic League. Tryout information on their website, all games will be in Montgomery County

Not worth the drive if you think they actually move kids around! Once they label your kid, they won’t move at all.

But that might be good enough for some folks. It's not always about moving around.

Arlington ECNL lost several of their strong players to Loudon so Arlington has space. They can not fill a roster right now. It should not be too far for you from Bethesda.

Thanks all. OP here. I’ll follow up on some of these suggestions. She’s been playing lower division EDP. Been with the same team for the past five years but with attrition and injuries it’s struggled to maintain a sufficient roster the past few seasons. As a result we’ve just been told there’ll be no Girls 2007 for the coming season.

Loudoun must be the hardest word in the world to spell.

DC Soccer Club (formerly Stoddert) needs 07 girls.

If she is coming from lower EDP I would try Potomac, MRM or FCGB. There seems room to grow in all of those programs. Good luck!
