Observed Holiday Nanny Pay???

Hi,

I pay my nanny for holidays that fall on weekdays, but what is the general rule about paying if a holiday falls on a weekend?

The observed holiday was on Monday. so, Monday off and you pay

Unless she knew you had to work July 5th, and she had to work, then she gets paid too

If the holiday falls on a Saturday, they get Friday off. If it falls on a Sunday, they get Monday off

All of the PPs are correct. You pay for the observed holiday day that falls on the weekday.

If she had to work, OP should have paid holiday pay (time and a half).
