Helen Hunt almost unrecognizable in “I see you”

Is she this gaunt in real life now or was it for the role?

The former. How is the film?

Unfortunate. We enjoyed it. Very twisty.

She has always been very angular. Never a traditional beauty. But I like and appreciate her

She has an angular face and has lost youthful volume. Doesn't look like she has had any work done. Even the 'naturally aging' Hollywood actresses have mostly had facelifts and it looks like she hasn't.

Agree it looks like she chose to age naturally. Quite recognizable as an old version of her former self IMO.

I have seen her in person and she is very attractive. I was shocked b/c I had found her to be quite plain on TV, etc. I think she just doesn't photopgraph well.

Those pictures are not the most shocking views of her face in the movie. The scene where she is with her lover, she looks like a wraith although she and Todd (Sam Trammel) are supposed to be the same age.

Her skin is awfully smooth. I would say she hasn't had surgery but she has had botox at least.

That seems very old looking for 58. I know real life 58 yo people who don't look like that. Has she been sick?

I agree. Botox or some other kind of injectible?

She is completely recognizable. I feel really sorry for aging actresses that have comments like this lobbed against them as they age.

She's not aging naturally - she had botox and fillers years ago.

She now has that "Courtney Cox" look. Unfortunately fillers especially never, ever age well. This is what always happens when you deal with the aftermath, even if they looked halfway decent years ago.

Ugh, smoking. Look at those upper lip lines.
