Helen Hunt almost unrecognizable in “I see you”

That's what I think too. If you were doing fillers why would you be like, "oh. Leave the smokers lines. And I'm cool with no lips. I like deep forehead lines and crows feet, so no messing with that!" She's also jowly which shows less volume, not more.

I know REAL LIFE PEOPLE walking around DC with kids who don't color their hair and all that and aren't doing things to their face who are 58 and don't look this aged.

I think she has veneers that ended up being too big for her mouth? There is something off with the teeth.

She's also had botox and other injectibles/fillers. She should have found a happy medium.

In the pics on the first page she is also not smiling at all. She looks really different when she smiles. She's had that downturned mouth since her youth.

+1

And if you watch the movie (which is good) her face looks really unnatural. It’s so gaunt and lacking in features. It’s really distracting and unnatural looking.

It has not done that to any woman I know.

Disagree, her cheeks are fuller now than before and have that odd rubbery chicken cutlet look.

I agree. Botox or some other kind of injectible?

I really don't think so. Look at the linked photo above- deep expression lines across the forehead wouldn't happen with Botox.

Not entirely true. I had my first Botox around 40 when I didn't have much in the way of expression lines and everything smoothed out. I did not keep up with it consistently over the years and now at 49 Botox doesn't erase the lines 100%. And they are more pronounced if I don't get a full night's sleep, drink alcohol, or am not hydrated.

I think she needs to add some wispy bangs to soften her forehead.

She had fillers, then dissolved them.

The problem is that you never look normal, like your normally aging self even if you have them dissolved. It looks horrible.

Botox is one thing, but you couldn't pay me to do fillers - they always look horrible and disfiguring. People's faces are meant to look a certain way, and when you start effing with it, things always look strange (at best).

Kind of hijacking the thread, but what does this mean - dissolved them? I thought fillers were like Botox and wore off?

That’s my question as well - where has she had fillers and how can you tell?

Yes, you can dissolve fillers. There are other things you can inject with help to accelerate the filler and dissolve them. Unfortunately it's still permanently disfiguring and people never go back to looking like they would have aged pre-fillers.

Helen Hunt had them in her cheeks, obviously. Possibly jaw but definitely her cheekbone area. I'm honestly shocked how some of you can't tell.

It's very specific lighting and makeup choices. I wonder if it was in service to the story being told.

In the film, she’s supposed to be a desirable woman.

But what was going on in that scene, in particular? (I don't know, myself.)

It was a bizarre scene. Her lover shows up unexpectedly at her home in the morning no less (before the school run) and wants to bang, I guess. She’s freaked out, but her face is just so distracting that it is impossible to completely parse whether she’s not into him anymore or doesn’t want him to get caught by her son.

How is this unrecognizable?

She looks exactly how she did in Mad about You except older.

She looks like Gollum. Good heavens.
