Infertility Support and Discussion

Anyone have a good recommendation? I just had my first baby and lived a wonderful pain-free life for the 9 mos. that I carried him. The endo pain has come back, unfortunately, 3 mos. post-partum even though I'm EBF. I'd like to research my options for endometriosis pain relief besides the usual recommendation of "get pregnant again."
Thanks in advance for any help you might have. |

I don't have any recs, per se, as I have only been under the treatment of an RE. What stage of the disease do you have? Have you had any surgeries?
I have stage iv, and all I hear is get pregnant again. #1 took 4 surgeries, 3 years, and IVF. My symptoms returned within 6 weeks of giving birth. I had hoped to give my body more time to recover, but now I feel like I am racing against the clock. I, too, would like to hear of a DC area endo specialist who will suggest more than just "get pregnant again." As if that were easy the first go-round... |
I have stage IV too. Like you, to get #1, it took 2 surgeries and 2 rounds of depot lupron over four years' time. I was lucky in that we planned to do IVF, but I became pregnant two weeks after surgery #2. I'm in the same place you are -- feeling like it's a race against the clock, all the while, experiencing very real pain (and I know pain, delivered by baby with pitocin and no epidural -- thanks endo for helping me know pain!!!). Anyway, I'm hoping to go through what my options are to relieve myself of this disease besides "just get pregnant" when I'm not ready yet. |
