Just curious, and if so, was it deleted because that individual contacted you or because you felt that it was bullying?
Yes, it was deleted. I did not hear from the individual or anyone on her behalf (at least as far as I know, I did hear from what appear to have been normal posters). I removed it because I thought it was becoming too stalkerish, with posters talking about her children's schools, Google Streetviewing her home, and so on. That gave me the heebie jeebies.
I reported the attempt to revive the discussion in Fashion/Beauty and was glad to see both were removed. Agree it was creepy. People recounting specific conversations with this person, WTH.
Yea, probably a good call to delete it. I posted on it but then felt a little bad about doing so.
Got it, thanks, yes, I think posting about children was going too far.
Good call. It was really bad.
Good call. We don’t want people talking and posting about the rich and privileged in a disparaging way, even if they are thieves.

There's a huge difference between talking about the rich, famous and/or privileged and getting stalkerish. Talking about her children, streetviewing her house are going too far. Talking about her work, her public persona/image and the crime she committed are fair game, but clearly some people on DCUM have way too much time on their hands and have no concept of boundaries and hence everyone loses because a few people can't seem to understand how to behave appropriately. |
I'm hoping that the DCUM factor will serve as a deterrent to at least the UMC criminals in the DC area. One can hope!
LMC criminals, too!! |
