Thinking ahead about buying a new car. Street parking only. Although it is not hard to find space, spaces are sometimes tight in the area closes to our house. What cars these days are super easy to parallel park, are shorter in length but still somehow roomy (2-3 people max)?
Don't care about luxury or brand, but long term reliability and safety. |
| Honda Fit |

My first suggestion. Not only reliable - but also safe as well. |
| Mini |
| I drive a Mini and love it for parking purposes. |
| Kia Soul |
| The compact Toyota Corolla. 😀 |
| Subaru crosstrek |
|
Some now auto park.
|
| Chevy Spark, esp if you find the EV |
| Prius? I drove a Toyota echo that was AMAZING in old town alexandria. The echo is basically a non hybrid Prius that they stopped making about 10+ years ago |
| Prius |
| Honda HR-V. It's the same footprint as the Fit but gets you into a sport utility with more cargo room. |
| HR-V, but don't expect the car to pick up speed fast. Taking it in this week because they said it's something to do with software. |
| Prius has park assist which is more than assist, it takes totally over to parallel park. |
