Georgetown | Montessori School | Children’s House of Washington (CHOW)

Anonymous
So I work in Georgetown (and went to Georgetown University - Go Hoyas!). I used to pass the Children’s House of Washington - Montessori when I was a student. I ended up working at Sidwell Friends School. I believe some of the Kids from CHOW where my students at Sidwell. I hoped that I could send my child to CHOW. Fast-forward and my three-year old is finally a student there! I would say try and get your child in if you were looking for a pre-school. My child loves the teachers (all of them have been there 20+ years), the curriculum, the other children, and the list goes on! As a former educator that has sent my child to daycares she didn’t care for as much, I can say with confidence that CHOW has to be one of the best schools for toddlers in DC. If you are looking for a preschool, feel free to comment and I will reach out!

We live near there, but haven't really looked into it. But, given that our jobs will be permanently hybrid (only in the office 2-3 days per week), it would be nice to have a program closer to home.

What are the hours of the program? Beforecare or aftercare? Tuition schedule?

Is the population friendly to two working, professional parents? Or would we be the only family without a stay at home parent? Thx.
