Ask in a Bethesda moms or parents FB group |
Nobody who lives in these areas needs to do child care for $. 22 years ago I worked with an organization called Monday Morning Moms (they "managed" a group of MoCo licensed in home care providers, maybe they still exist). They only had 1 listing in Bethesda, and real estate was a lot cheaper then. MoCo maintains a list of licensed in home care providers in the county, you can search that for bethesda listings. I'm guessing you will find very few. |
There are definitely a few in-home daycares in Bethesda. You may need to just go through the licensed ones (search by zip code at https://www.checkccmd.org/ ) and check that they are able to comply with regulations, call around to see if they have spots and visit. You may not have much choice depending on their availability. |
This is helpful- thank you! |
Also I should add that Monday Morning Mom's still exists and I have heard good things, if you want a little added peace of mind in terms of vetting of providers. |
We have been very happy with Smart Kids Bilingual daycare. It is a small inhome daycare in Bethesda. Caring and loving teachers, tons of fun and creative activities for the kids, home cooked meals and Bilingual/Spanish dominant

Our kids went to Kidstown Home Daycare in Ashburton for several years. It was an amazing experience all around (though I have no idea if there are any openings). |
Does anyone have any first hand experience with Wilson Lane Childcare Center? |

Amazing home daycare in the Ashburton neighborhood. We know families who drove from Potomac to have their kids go here. Children actually learn and thrive, and it is a fantastic environment. Highly recommend. |
The Yellow House School is a new, home-based preschool program in the Bannockburn neighborhood of Bethesda. The teachers are highly educated early childhood teachers with many years of experience in the field. The program is currently enrolling children ages 2-5, including children with disabilities.

We have our son at Superkidos Childcare in Bethesda (closer to cabin John though) and LOVE it. We are moving to Alexandria in a month and have to find a new daycare because the commute is just too long and I am really sad. Neyla is the director and she is so loving and warm. She has about 5 toddlers and 2 infants and takes really great care of all of them. We really loved that she speaks to the kids in Spanish too. |
