All staffs at my kid’s daycare are vaccinated, and it says that if all staffs can come back to work right away and do not needed to get tested or quarantined even they travel to other states or to any foreign county. What do you think? My kid is unmasked in under 2 year old classroom, but teachers are masked.

Sounds good to me! Are parents going to mask their kids or quarantine when they travel this summer? No? Ok then. |
Good point. If parents aren’t quarantining, why require staff to do so? |
Seems fine and follows current guidance. |
This is op. Vaccinated parents do not need to do get quarantined or get tested if they travel, but their kids that go to daycare or other kids in the family are required to get tested for rapid testing or PCR test( wait at home for results if travel internationally). I am just curious how bad is that they at least require everyone ( staff, parents and kids) to do rapid testing before they come back. I only waited 2 hours to get results. And, what happens the staff or parents or families go back hometown which happen to be hotspot now ? |
Rapid tests are pretty unreliable unless you have symptoms. And same day PCR can be expensive and not always covered by insurance- that can be a burden for underpaid staff. |
What is your concern? That the vaccinated staff will give covid to your toddler?
I think it's a reasonable policy given the current guidance and understanding of covid. |
They are following state guidance so it sounds good to me! |
Yeah that requirement is pretty much theatre. They wouldn’t have to quarantine or test if they were known to be exposed, so it’s silly to make them do one of those things when they don’t even know they were exposed. Please relax. This is safe. |
